4th GRADE

1st and 2nd semester: Geometric and Archaic Period

With a map and their imagination, the children set sail for the Greek colonies together with kouri and kore. Their objective is to enjoy the magic of simultaneous travelling in time and space. The statues will talk to them about the achievements of their time and the “joy of life”.

The objects of the investigation game for the teams are chosen exhibits of the National Archeological Museum or the New Acropolis Museum.

The program lasts 2 ½ - 3 hours


1st and 2nd semester: Geometric and Archaic Period

With the emphasis on the city-state’s organization and structure, the children will follow the route of the regimes and leadership styles from the age of tyranny, through 5th century b.C. democracy, to the developments of the Hellenistic period

The program’s objective is for the children to understand the conditions that led to the miracle of the “Golden Age” and build bridges linking it to today’s world. Clisthenes, Pericles and Phidias will help and guide them in this endeavor.

The objects of the investigation game for the teams are chosen exhibits of the New Acropolis Museum, the Acropolis’ buildings, and the ancient Agora.

The program lasts 3 hours

Programs outside Attica:
«“Daphne and the Soup”». Daily excursion to Delphi.

This is a daily school excursion. It is a treasure hunt and can be the culmination or the epilogue of the programs in Athens.
